At the start of the program, we will assign a dedicated mentor that is most closely aligned with your studies and preferences. With their first-hand knowledge of American culture and education, they will get you up to speed in no-time.

We understand that challenges may arise at any time. That’s why we offer a dedicated text support line during business hours that any student can message and that any mentor can respond to.
If a student has an urgent question, they can also reach out to their mentor.
We’ll also provide a chat room for all mentees of a similar cohort, creating a supportive community for students to share experiences, ask questions and develop connections.

No, the weekly classes will not be recorded. If a session is missed, there will be a recurring session next quarter. However, a study guide recapping the notes from the lesson will be sent out.
Mentors are carefully matched with students based on academic interests, career goals, and cultural background. We strive to create strong connections to ensure effective mentorship.
Students have the flexibility to request a change of mentor whenever they feel the current pairing doesn’t fit their needs. A new mentor will be provided within 5-10 business days.
Yes, the program is designed to benefit international students from a wide range of fields. Our mentors have diverse expertise to cater to various academic and career interests. Many of the topics covered in class are general life skills applicable to everyone.
When you text the support line, the question is sent to all mentors available. Mentors are incentivized to respond in a timely manner – we strive to answer within the hour.
Yes, the American Mentor Program is available to international students across the United States. Our services are accessible online and many mentors offer remote guidance.
